Here’s the video I’ve produced for Harley-Davidson’s Swiss Harley Days event. The video was shot over four days in and around the city of Lugano in Switzerland in July 2010.
The latest in my line-up of event shoots for Harley-Davidson took place last weekend in Barcelona. Thankfully the weather was beautiful for this one with the sun being blocked by clouds for only an hour or so during the whole three day event.
Work is progressing nicely on a shooting form DVD I’m producing for release in the next few weeks. Here’s a quick trailer for you to look at. I used a pair of Sony EX cameras for the majority of the shoot with a few 5D shallow depth of field takes thrown in to spice it up a little.
I was hired by the Open Youth Trust in Norwich to produce a short promotional video highlighting their recently opened £12m venue in the heart of Norwich.
This was the first project where I used my new Canon 5dmkII alongside my trusty Sony EX1. The images produced by these two cameras are quite different, although I really like the fact that they allow me to show two different perspectives in interviews, not only from a camera’s point of view, but also with such a different feel to the images due to the shallow depth of field the 5D produces. All of the 5D shots were done with a 50mm f1.2 L series lens.
I shot my first video in 2006 and what started as a spark of interest has turned into a full time career and a major passion in my life. This blog is dedicated to sharing my discoveries and thoughts as my journey into becoming a videographer unfolds.
