Thanks! I've been checking out other parts of your site and saw that but forgot I had asked on this post. Thanks for all your posts, it's really helpful to see what other people are doing w/ their DSLR set ups

I've not used that follow focus but it's probably just standard pitch so zacuto or shoot35 zip type gears should work fine. Bear in mind that the gears that are bigger than your lens diameter also have the effect of making adjustments more precise.

I've got a D|Focus, but really unhappy with the screws that dig in to the lens to hold the giant lens gear, plus they slip as well. Would you know if I could use the Zacuto lens rings with the D|Focus?

You're right, it does add extra time. It really depends on the circumstances but whereas you can do a simple lens swap in a few seconds without a rig you really need to allow a few minutes for a change when using a rig, especially if your using a matte box as that adds another thing to adjust. I sometimes get frustrated and revert to using the lens hoods instead of the whole matte box thing if I'm under pressure with time.

How quick can you change between your three L Series lenses (50 1.2, 35 1.4 & 70-200 2.8)with the Zacuto system you show? My concern is it will take a long time to change lenses in between shoots even though the rings are all set on the lenses.
