Choppers & choppers

I’m in the middle of another Harley-Davidson event at the moment, this time in Faaker See, Austria.

One of the best things for me about this event is that I get to spend some time shooting from a helicopter which us always an amazing experience.

I use the EX1 for this, mainly because its image stabiliser does a pretty good job of taking the worst of the shake out, although it’s still a big challenge to keep the shots shake free.

I’ll post some footage when I get back but for now I think the following pic just about portrays my thoughts on shooting from a chopper!

Looks like you had some fun dangling in your harness from a Jet Ranger. I hope you had a good shoot. Off topic slightly but wanted to say, your Fujifilm piece was outstanding, I know it was a short film just seemed a complete shame to cut it so fast when the clips are of such quality, great impact though a complete visual feast, well done fella.

Thanks Darren. Yes it was quite frustrating having to cram all that nice stuff into 16 seconds.
