It’s Harley time again

So tomorrow I leave for the start of my third season of event shooting for Harley-Davidson. I always feel so lucky to be working with Harley, they are a fantastic bunch and as well as enjoying the event itself it’s always a pleasure to meet up with all the regular characters as well as the bands that play the events each year.

Once again the season starts with the Euro Festival in the Golfe De Saint Tropez. Last years event was watered down slightly by the weather with rain and wind more typical to Great Yarmouth than St Tropez. Hopefully this year will be a bit warmer as I’d really like to capture the fact that the event takes place right on the beach and when the suns out there’s usually a fair amount of beach dwellers soaking up the rays.

Only three days after I get back from St Tropez I’ll be heading of to Croatia for the European HOG rally / Croatia Harley Days in Biograd. This trip is going to be made even more exciting by the fact that Harley have loaned me a bike and I’m riding out with some great friends who also work at the event.

I picked the loaner up yesterday and rode it home from Gloucester, it’s a bit different to my KTM but fun none the less. It’s an Ultra Classic, a big tourer with loads of luggage space for all my gear.

Our route will take us through some amazing locations in Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Croatia so it’s going to be a great experience.  I’ll be shooting with my 5D and GoPro’s along the way and should be able to grab some nice shots that Harley can use.

I’ll make sure to post plenty of pics and updates whenever I get WiFi access via my blog and of course via twitter.
